"Building resilience, fostering belonging."

Hamilton Newcomers Mental Wellness Association (HNMWA) is a not-for-profit organization that offers mental wellness support to newcomers in the Hamilton area. We run various programs that focus on strengthening mental health, resilience, and overall well-being in individuals new to Canada. Our goal is to create a community where every newcomer feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive through prioritizing mental wellness over forced assimilation.

We are committed to supporting newcomers in the Hamilton area by helping strengthen mental wellness, building resilience, and creating a sense of belonging. We aim to offer accessible, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and community-driven mental wellness programming to individuals new to Canada. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where newcomers can strengthen their mental health by connecting, sharing, and healing through conversation, creativity, and mutual support.
